Sean John Combs, also known professionally as Diddy, is an American former rapper, record producer, record executive, and actor. Born in Harlem on November 4, 1969, he initially worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before establishing his own label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. Combs is credited with discovering and developing notable artists such as the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher.
