Sean Casey: podcast appearances and interviews

Sean Cameron Casey, born December 28, 1967, is a former Major League Baseball All-Star who played as a first baseman. Following his playing career, he became a baseball analyst for MLB Network and served as a hitting coach for the New York Yankees. Outside of his sports career, Casey has been involved in other ventures, including climate-related projects through Catilize Health. Despite his prominence in baseball, he is also known for his interests in storm chasing and filmmaking. Casey appeared in a 2010 episode of Mythbusters, where he demonstrated storm chasing vehicle performance alongside Reed Timmer. In addition, he created an IMAX film titled Tornado Alley, which involves chasing tornadoes and required the construction of specialized vehicles known as Tornado Intercept Vehicles. His work in this field earned him recognition as one of the 50 best minds of 2008 by Discover Magazine. Currently, he leads a program called 'Plants For Schools,' aimed at transforming elementary school landscapes into educational exhibits of conservation. Casey has publicly experienced personal challenges, including an arrest on charges of Public Disorder in May 2020; he was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Stress-induced Trauma related to his storm chasing activities. These health issues have at times led to manic episodes, notably in 2020, during which he experienced significant emotional distress tied to personal life difficulties such as divorce and debt.
