Scott Carlson: podcast appearances and interviews

Scott Carlson is an American musician and a senior writer at The Chronicle of Higher Education. Throughout his musical career, he has played various roles in multiple bands across different genres. He was the lead vocalist and bassist of Repulsion, a pioneering grindcore band, and briefly served as the bassist and one of the vocalists for Death, a pioneering death metal band. He also played bass for the doom metal band Cathedral and was the bassist and vocalist for Death Breath, a Swedish death metal band. Additionally, Carlson contributed as a vocalist for the Japanese doom metal band Church of Misery and played bass in the hardcore punk band Septic Tank. His versatility extends to guitar, having performed with garage rock band The Superbees and with From Beyond.
