Sarah Jackson: podcast appearances and interviews

Sarah Elizabeth Jackson was a teacher, community leader, and manager in New Zealand. Born in England on 6 August 1858, she migrated to Auckland in 1881. After beginning her career teaching in a local primary school, she was appointed to manage the Auckland Industrial School. Jackson also dedicated many years to serving the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Society for the Protection of Women and Children. Her leadership extended to the National Council of Women of New Zealand, where she was active both locally in Auckland and nationally. She contributed significantly to the organization's revitalization in 1918 and served as its treasurer from 1919 to 1929. Later in her career, she became a professor of Early Childhood Education and was affiliated with the Church Revitalisation Trust. Jackson's extensive work in education, community service, and organizational leadership made her a prominent figure in her field. She passed away in Auckland on 9 November 1946 and was buried in St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery in Mount Albert.
