Sam Richardson, born on January 12, 1984, is an American actor and comedian. He is recognized for his roles in television series such as Detroiters on Comedy Central, where he co-starred alongside Tim Robinson. Richardson also portrayed Richard Splett in the HBO political comedy series Veep, which aired from 2012 to 2019. Additionally, he contributed to the Netflix sketch show I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson by playing various characters, and appeared as Aniq Adjaye in the Apple TV+ series The Afterparty during its 2022 to 2023 season. His role as Norville Rogers in the Max animated series Velma began in 2023.
