Sadie Elizabeth Sink, born on April 16, 2002, is an American actress known for her role as Max Mayfield in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which aired from 2017 to 2025. She began her acting career in theater, performing in the Broadway revival of Annie from 2012 to 2014 and in The Audience in 2015. Her transition to film included her debut in the movie Chuck in 2016. Sink has appeared in several film projects, such as the Netflix horror films Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and Fear Street Part Three: 1666, both released in 2021. That same year, she starred alongside Dylan O'Brien in Taylor Swift's All Too Well: The Short Film. Her performance as Ellie Sarsfield in Darren Aronofsky's The Whale (2022) earned her a nomination for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.
