Russ Jones, born on July 16, 1942, in Ontario, is a Canadian novelist, illustrator, and magazine editor with over half a century of experience in the publishing and entertainment industries. He is best known as the creator of the magazine Creepy for Warren Publishing. As the founding editor of Creepy in 1963, he played a significant role in comics history by demonstrating the viability of a readership interested in graphic stories published in a black-and-white magazine format rather than traditional color comic books. Jones also contributed to the presentation of original comics in paperback book formats during the mid-1960s, with projects such as Christopher Lee’s Treasury of Terror. In addition to his work in comics and publishing, Jones is associated with Glenbrook Partners and is recognized for creating the ADHD Big Brother community, which provides support and resources related to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
