Robert Andre Glasper, born on April 5, 1978, is an American pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger known for his work that encompasses a variety of musical genres, with a primary focus on jazz. Over the course of his career, he has received five Grammy Awards from eleven nominations, including recognition for his album Black Radio, which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and won the Grammy for Best R B Album in 2012. The success of this album led to its sequel, Black Radio 2, released the following year.
