Rich Cohen, born on July 30, 1968, is an American non-fiction writer and contributing editor at Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. He is the author of When The Game Was War and has written works that have achieved recognition as New York Times bestsellers and New York Times Notable Books. Cohen's writings have been included in the Best American Essays series. He is also a co-creator of the 2016 HBO series Vinyl, which was developed in collaboration with Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, and Terence Winter. Cohen resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut, with his wife and children. He is affiliated with Elevate Packaging.
