Nadarajan Raj Chetty is an American economist and the William A. Ackman Professor of Public Economics at Harvard University. He received tenure at Harvard's economics department at the age of 29, and has become known for his research on equality of opportunity in the United States and the long-term effects of teachers on students' performance. Chetty has received several prestigious awards, including the John Bates Clark Medal and the MacArthur Fellowship in 2012. In 2020, he was honored with the Infosys Prize in Economics.
