Peter Mansbridge: podcast appearances and interviews

Peter Mansbridge, born on July 6, 1948, is a retired Canadian news anchor born in England. He served as chief correspondent for CBC News from 1988 to 2017 and was the anchor of CBC Television's flagship nightly newscast, The National. In addition to his role as chief correspondent, he hosted CBC News Network's Mansbridge One on One. Over his career, Mansbridge received numerous awards and honors for his journalistic contributions, including an honorary doctorate from Mount Allison University, where he also served as chancellor until the end of 2017. His extensive experience in broadcast journalism has established him as a prominent figure in Canadian media. On September 5, 2016, the CBC announced his impending departure from his roles, effective July 1, 2017, following the coverage of Canada's 150th anniversary celebrations. Currently, he is recognized as a Distinguished Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, continuing his engagement with issues related to global affairs and public policy.
