Paul Heyman: podcast appearances and interviews

Paul Heyman is an American professional wrestling manager, former executive, promoter, and commentator. Currently signed to WWE, he performs as the on-screen manager of The Vision stable and Brock Lesnar. Heyman first gained prominence in the late 1980s as an on-screen manager under the name Paul E. Dangerously, working for promotions such as World Championship Wrestling and the Continental Wrestling Federation. In 1993, he became the creative force behind Eastern Championship Wrestling, which he purchased in 1995 and renamed Extreme Championship Wrestling. Under his leadership, ECW developed a cult following and introduced a more aggressive, reality-based style that influenced other wrestling promotions. After ECW closed in 2001, Heyman joined WWE, where he held roles as a commentator, writer, and on-screen manager. He was instrumental in the early career of Brock Lesnar and served as his manager during much of Lesnar's tenure in WWE. Heyman also contributed behind the scenes as a writer, including a period as lead writer for SmackDown, and as executive director of Raw from 2019 to 2020. Recognized for his promo skills, character work, and talent development, Heyman has managed notable wrestlers such as Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. He is credited with elevating many wrestling stars through his work both on and off screen and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2024.
