Mike Richardson is an American publisher, writer, and producer born on June 29, 1950. He is known for founding Dark Horse Comics in 1986, an international publishing house based in Milwaukie, Oregon. Richardson also established and serves as President of the Things From Another World retail chain and is the President of Dark Horse Entertainment. His role in these organizations has involved developing and producing numerous projects for film and television that are based on Dark Horse properties or licensed characters. Besides his publishing and production work, Richardson has authored several graphic novels and comics series, including The Secret, Living with the Dead, and Cut. He has also co-written two non-fiction books titled Comics Between the Panels and Blast Off. In addition to his work in publishing and entertainment, Richardson holds the certification of SAMatters Certified Master Instructor and is affiliated with Kid Friendly Seattle.
