Marjorie Taylor Greene is an American politician and businesswoman who served as the U.S. representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district. She was elected to Congress in 2020 and served until her resignation in 2026. A member of the Republican Party, Greene is known for her alignment with populist and far-right political views. Throughout her time in office, she promoted various controversial and conspiracy-related theories, including those related to Islamophobia, antisemitism, white supremacy, and conspiracy movements such as QAnon and Pizzagate. She supported calls to execute prominent Democratic figures prior to her congressional run and made statements equating the Democratic Party with Nazis. Greene also compared COVID-19 safety measures to the persecution of Jews during the Holocaust, a comparison for which she later apologized. She endorsed Russian perspectives during the Ukraine invasion and identified as a Christian nationalist. Greene was an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump and aided efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, even challenging votes in Georgia and proposing the decertification of the electoral outcome. After the inauguration of Joe Biden, she filed articles of impeachment against him.
