About Lisa Curry
Lisa Gaye Curry, also known by her married name Lisa Curry-Kenny, is an Australian former competition swimmer. She has won seven gold, two silver, and one bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games. During her swimming career, Curry was the only Australian swimmer to have held Commonwealth and Australian records in all strokes except backstroke. Beyond her achievements in the pool, she served as the chair of the National Australia Day Council from 2000 to 2008. Her contributions to sport and national representation are recognized as significant in Australian athletic history.
