Lin Shaye, born on October 12, 1943, is an American actress with a career spanning over 50 years. She has appeared in more than one hundred feature films. Shaye is widely recognized as a scream queen due to her roles in numerous horror productions, including films such as Alone in the Dark, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Critters and its sequel Critters 2 The Main Course, Amityville A New Generation, Wes Cravens New Nightmare, Dead End, 2001 Maniacs and its sequel 2001 Maniacs Field of Screams, Ouija and its prequel Ouija Origin of Evil, Tales of Halloween, Abattoir, The Final Wish, Room for Rent, The Grudge, Ted Bundy American Boogeyman, and the Insidious film series.
