David Arquette is an American actor, producer, and retired professional wrestler born on September 8, 1971. He began his acting career with a main role as Keith 'Two-Bit' Matthews on the Fox drama television series The Outsiders in 1990 and made his film debut with a supporting role in Where the Day Takes You in 1992. During the early-to-mid 1990s, Arquette appeared in television roles such as Tod Hawks on the NBC sitcom Parenthood and Hunter on CBS sitcom Double Rush. He also starred in the films Wild Bill and Johns. His breakthrough role came with Dewey Riley in the 1996 slasher film Scream, a part he reprised in multiple sequels from 1997 to 2022 as well as in 2026. Following Scream, Arquette starred in films such as Dream with the Fishes, Ravenous, and Never Been Kissed. In the 2000s, he appeared in movies including Ready to Rumble, 3000 Miles to Graceland, See Spot Run, Eight Legged Freaks, Never Die Alone, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, and Hamlet 2. He made his directorial debut with The Tripper in 2006 and played Jason Ventress on the ABC sitcom In Case of Emergency. During the 2010s, Arquette starred in films like Just Before I Go, which he also produced, and Bone Tomahawk; he also portrayed Keith Jesperson in the Lifetime film Happy Face Killer. In the 2020s, he appeared in Spree, 12 Hour Shift, The Good Half, and The Unholy Trinity.
