Leah Thomas, also known as Green Girl Leah, is an American environmental activist who emphasizes the application of intersectionality to environmental justice. She has gained recognition for her work on Instagram, where she highlights the connections between social and environmental issues. Thomas grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, close to the location of significant social justice events, including the shooting of Michael Brown. Her activism was partly inspired by her observations that conversations about environmental and social injustices, such as the Flint water crisis, often neglect the experiences of marginalized communities.
