Julie Ellis: podcast appearances and interviews

Julie Ellis (February 21, 1919 – February 15, 2006) was an author known for her contributions to lesbian pulp fiction during the 1960s. She wrote pro-lesbian romance and erotica under various pseudonyms for Midwood-Tower Publications, including Julie Marvin and Marilyn Marvin, reflecting her changing pseudonym and legal name usage over time. Later in her life, she focused on writing historical and romance fiction under the name Julie Ellis. She is also recognized for her role as the host of the podcast Figure 8 and for her involvement with The Chef’s Table. Her work has contributed to the visibility of lesbian themes in literature and she remains an influential figure in the history of LGBTQ+ publishing.
