Joe Budden: podcast appearances and interviews

Joseph Anthony Budden II, born on August 31, 1980, is an American broadcaster and former rapper. He gained initial recognition with his 2003 single 'Pump It Up,' which reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded his debut studio album. The album was both a critical and commercial success, peaking in the top ten of the Billboard 200; it was his only major label release for Def Jam Recordings. Following this, he released seven more independent albums that also received critical praise. Budden was a member of the hip-hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, which signed with Eminem's Shady Records in 2012 and released two studio albums. Aside from his solo career, he was humorously depicted in a 2014 episode of Loiter Squad. In 2018, he shifted his focus from recording music to broadcasting. Three years earlier, he began hosting The Joe Budden Podcast, which has since produced over 900 episodes. In 2017, Budden co-hosted the web show Everyday Struggle for Complex magazine alongside DJ Akademiks, gaining significant public attention. He also hosted State of the Culture with Remy Ma on Revolt from 2018 to 2020. Known for his outspoken views on prominent figures in hip-hop, he has been described as 'the Howard Stern of hip-hop'.
