Joanna E. McClinton, born on August 19, 1982, is an American politician from Pennsylvania who currently serves as the 141st Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She has been in this role since February 28, 2023, and is a member of the Democratic Party. McClinton is notably the first woman to hold the position of Speaker in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Prior to her current role, she served as the Majority Leader from December 1, 2022, to February 28, 2023, and as the Minority Leader from December 2020 to December 2022. She has represented the 191st district, which covers parts of Delaware County and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since 2015.
