Jim McCarty: podcast appearances and interviews

James Stanley McCarty, born on 25 July 1943, is an English drummer best known as a member of the Yardbirds and Renaissance. He has performed and recorded as a drummer and occasional singer with various bands including the Yardbirds, Renaissance, Shoot, Illusion, Box of Frogs, the British Invasion All-Stars, and Pilgrim. McCarty has also played keyboard for Stairway and has released music under his own name as a guitarist in the Jim McCarty Band. Since 1992, he has been part of the reformed Yardbirds and, following Chris Dreja's departure in 2013, became the only founding member to continue touring with the band. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 as a member of the Yardbirds. In addition to his music career, McCarty has released three solo albums titled Out of the Dark, Sitting on the Top of Time, and Walking in the Wild Land, and has authored four books related to his musical experiences. His contributions extend to literature with collaborations on four Yardbirds-themed books, sharing insights from his extensive career in the musical industry.
