Jim Jarmusch: podcast appearances and interviews

James Robert Jarmusch is an American filmmaker and musician born on January 22, 1953. He has been a prominent figure in independent cinema since the 1980s, directing a number of critically acclaimed films including Permanent Vacation, Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law, Mystery Train, Night on Earth, Dead Man, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Coffee and Cigarettes, Broken Flowers, Only Lovers Left Alive, Paterson, and Father Mother Sister Brother. His work has been recognized for its cultural significance; Stranger Than Paradise was added to the National Film Registry in December 2002. Jarmusch's film Father Mother Sister Brother earned him the Golden Lion at the 82nd Venice Film Festival. In addition to his filmmaking career, Jarmusch is also a musician. He was a member of the no wave band The Del-Byzanteens and has composed music for several of his films. His musical collaborations include four albums released with Jozef van Wissem.
