His career began in improv comedy during the 1990s, where he performed with ComedySportz, iO Chicago, and The Second City. Sudeikis gained prominence as a writer and cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, where he worked from 2003 to 2013. Beyond SNL, he appeared in several television series including 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Eastbound and Down, Portlandia, The Last Man on Earth, and Detroiters. He also was a leading cast member on the adult animated series The Cleveland Show from 2009 to 2013.
