Paul Stephen Rudd is an American actor born on April 6, 1969. He studied theatre at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before making his acting debut in 1991. Rudd has received recognition for his work in both television and film, including a Critics' Choice Television Award, and nominations for Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, and Screen Actors Guild Awards. His film appearances include roles in Clueless, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Romeo + Juliet, Wet Hot American Summer, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, I Love You, Man, and This Is 40. He is also known for portraying the superhero Scott Lang / Ant-Man in five Marvel Cinematic Universe films from Ant-Man in 2015 to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2023. Additionally, Rudd played Gary Grooberson in the Ghostbusters films Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
