James Lawson: podcast appearances and interviews

James Morris Lawson Jr. (September 22, 1928 – June 9, 2024) was an American activist and university professor known for his significant contributions to nonviolence within the Civil Rights Movement. During the 1960s, he played a key role as a mentor to the Nashville Student Movement and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. His activism led to his expulsion from Vanderbilt University in 1960. Following his time as an activist, Lawson served as a pastor in Los Angeles for 25 years. Currently, he is the Chief Customer Officer at the NSW Department of Primary Industries, bringing his leadership and experience to the realm of public service and agriculture.
