Ian McEwan: podcast appearances and interviews

Ian Russell McEwan, born on 21 June 1948, is a British novelist and screenwriter recognized for his significant contributions to contemporary literature. He began his writing career with sparse, Gothic short stories. His first two novels, The Cement Garden and The Comfort of Strangers, earned him the nickname Ian Macabre. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he published three novels of notable success. His 1997 novel Enduring Love was adapted into a film, and his novel Amsterdam won the Booker Prize in 1998. He was honored with the Shakespeare Prize in 1999.
