Greg Hall is the Vice President of Mission Impact at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. He is a retired Australian jockey, born in the late 1950s. During his career as a jockey, Hall achieved notable success riding for prominent owners such as Lloyd Williams, Sheikh Mohammed, and Kerry Packer. He is best known for winning the 1992 Melbourne Cup aboard Subzero and has secured victories in a Cox Plate, two Golden Slippers, and two Victoria Derbies. Throughout his racing career, he rode a total of 848 winners, including 42 Group One winners. Hall's involvement in horse racing spans multiple generations; his father, Ron Hall, was a jumps jockey, and his son, Nicholas Hall, also pursued a career as a jockey. After retiring in the 2000/01 season, Hall authored an autobiography titled Ride to Win, which was published in 2003. His experiences in the racing industry are well-documented and reflect a distinguished career in Australian horse racing.
