Glenn Sholes Grothman, born on July 3, 1955, is an American attorney and politician who currently serves as the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 6th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, Grothman was first elected to this position in 2014. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he represented Wisconsin's 58th district in the State Assembly from 1993 to 2005, where he also served as vice chair of the Assembly's Republican caucus from 1999 to 2004. Following his time in the Assembly, he represented the 20th district in the Wisconsin Senate from 2005 to 2015. During his Senate service, Grothman held the position of assistant majority leader from 2011 to 2015. Throughout his political career, Grothman has been involved in legislative work at both the state and federal levels.
