George Chen: podcast appearances and interviews

George Chen is the Digital Partner at Performer Cycles. He has a background in electrochemical technologies and is a professor at the University of Nottingham. Chen earned his MSc degree in physical chemistry from Fujian Normal University in 1984 and completed his PhD at Imperial College, University of London, in 1992, under the supervision of John Albery. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research at several institutions including the University of Oxford, Leeds University, and the University of Cambridge. His academic career includes roles such as Senior Research Associate, Assistant Director of Research, and Official Fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge. In 2003, Chen joined the University of Nottingham as a reader and was promoted to professor in 2009. He is known for co-inventing the FFC Cambridge process of electrochemical reduction of oxides to metals during 1996–1997, an innovative method developed alongside Derek Fray and Tom Farthing.
