Geoff Johns is an American comic book writer, screenwriter, and film and television producer. He has been recognized for his work on DC Comics characters including Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, and Superman. Johns's notable contributions include critical hits such as Sinestro Corps War, Blackest Night, Infinite Crisis, and Doomsday Clock. He co-created various characters and expanded the Green Lantern mythology, introducing new concepts and characters like the Sinestro Corps, the Indigo Tribe, and Jessica Cruz. Johns served as Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment from 2010 to 2018 and was also President and CCO from 2016 to 2018. He co-founded and was previously co-chairman of DC Films, overseeing the DC Extended Universe which has grossed over 5.6 billion dollars globally, making it the eleventh highest-grossing film franchise. His work as a producer and writer has contributed to the success of films such as Aquaman, which earned over 1.15 billion dollars worldwide, the highest-grossing DC film to date.
