Kieron Gillen: podcast appearances and interviews

Kieron Michael Gillen is a British comic book writer and a former video game and music journalist. He is well known for creating several creator-owned comic series including Once & Future, Die, Phonogram, and The Wicked + The Divine. The latter two series were co-created with artist Jamie McKelvie and published by Image Comics. Gillen has also contributed to numerous projects for Marvel Comics, such as Journey into Mystery, Uncanny X-Men, and Young Avengers in the early 2010s. Additionally, he has worked on Star Wars comics during the mid to late 2010s, including Darth Vader, Star Wars, and the creation of the character Doctor Aphra. Gillen wrote the first 19 issues of the Star Wars: Doctor Aphra series. He returned to work on X-Men titles in the 2020s, participating in storylines like Destiny of X, Sins of Sinister, and Fall of X during the Krakoan Age. His work has been recognized with multiple awards and nominations, including two British Fantasy Awards for Die. He has received nine Hugo Award nominations for works such as The Wicked + The Divine, We Called Them Giants, The Power Fantasy, Once & Future, and Die. Gillen has also been nominated five times for a GLAAD Media Award, winning once for Young Avengers.
