Kelly Thompson is an American writer known for her work on novels and comic books. She has gained recognition for projects such as the Jem and the Holograms comic co-created with Sophie Campbell, which offers a modern re-imagining of the 1980s series. Her work on Marvel comics includes the Eisner-nominated Hawkeye series starring Kate Bishop, and Captain Marvel featuring Carol Danvers, co-created with artist Carmen Carnero and colorist Tamra Bonvillain. Thompson's other notable contributions include the novel The Girl Who Would Be King and comic series such as A-Force, West Coast Avengers, Jessica Jones, Mr. & Mrs. X, and Black Widow.
