Gene Luen Yang: podcast appearances and interviews

Gene Luen Yang is an American cartoonist and author known for his work in the field of graphic novels and comics. He is recognized as an award-winning graphic novelist and has contributed to the education sector through his role as a teacher and lecturer. Yang has taught computer science and served as the Director of Information Services at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland, California. He has also been a faculty member at Hamline University, where he participated in the Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults program. In 2016, Yang was named the United States Library of Congress Ambassador for Young People's Literature. That same year, he received a MacArthur Fellowship, becoming the third graphic novelist to do so. As a frequent speaker, Yang has lectured at comic book conventions, universities, schools, and libraries, sharing his expertise on graphic novels and comics.
