Eilish McColgan: podcast appearances and interviews

Eilish McColgan, born on November 25, 1990, is a Scottish middle- and long-distance runner. She achieved notable success at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, winning the gold medal in the 10,000 metres with a Games record and securing a silver medal in the 5000 metres. McColgan has earned four medals at the European Championships, including silver medals in the 5000 metres in 2018 and in the 10,000 metres in 2022, a bronze in the 5000 metres in 2022, and a bronze for the indoor 3000 metres in 2017. She holds the European record for the 10 km road race and the British records for five different events, which include the 5000 metres, 10,000 metres, 5 km, and half marathon. Additionally, she is the European best holder in the 10 miles on roads. McColgan has represented Great Britain at four Olympic Games, participating in London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024. She has also represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, 2018, and 2022. Originally specialized in the 3000 metres steeplechase, she set the Scottish record in the event in 2013 before injuries led her to shift focus. She is a seven-time national champion and holds the Scottish record in the 10,000 metres.
