John Edward Horner Chancellor, born in December 1962, is an English financial historian, finance journalist, and author. His career includes roles as a hedge fund investment strategist and an investment banker. Chancellor has received recognition for his significant contributions to financial literature; in 2016, the Financial Analysts Journal described him as one of the great financial writers of the era, and in 2022, Fortune referred to him as one of the greatest financial historians alive.
