Melissa Kearney: podcast appearances and interviews

Melissa Kearney is the Neil Moskowitz Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. She is an American economist with extensive experience in academia and research. Prior to her current position at the University of Maryland, she spent more than twenty years on the faculty at the University of Maryland. In addition to her teaching and research roles, she is the director of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group and a non-resident Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution. She is also affiliated with the Notre Dame Wilson-Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities as a scholar and board member, and with the MIT Abdul Jameel Poverty Action Lab as a scholar affiliate. Her editorial work includes serving on the editorial boards of the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy and the Journal of Economic Literature, and she has been an editor of the Journal of Human Resources. Kearney has held leadership positions such as director of the Hamilton Project at Brookings from 2013 to 2015 and co-chair of the JPAL State and Local Innovation Initiative from 2015 to 2018.
