Alex Edmans: podcast appearances and interviews

Alex Edmans is a British academic and economist specializing in finance. He holds the position of professor of finance at London Business School and is the Mercers' School Memorial Emeritus Professor of Business at Gresham College. Edmans serves on the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on the Future of Responsible Investing and is a non-executive director of the Investor Forum. He is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Academy of Social Sciences, and the Financial Management Association. Additionally, Edmans is the director of the American Finance Association and the vice president of the Western Finance Association, where he is also serving as vice president-program for 2026. In 2021, he was named Professor of the Year by Poets&Quants. From 2017 to 2022, he was managing editor of the Review of Finance, during which time he increased its impact factor from below 2 to above 5. Edmans is the author of the book Grow the Pie: How Great Companies Deliver Both Purpose and Profit, which was named to the Financial Times best books of 2020. He is also co-author of Principles of Corporate Finance, a widely used textbook in the field. Edmans delivered the TED talk What to Trust in a Post-Truth World, focusing on confirmation bias and the importance of discerning evidence, which has garnered over 2 million views.
