David Howell Petraeus is a retired United States Army general and a partner at KKR, where he serves as chair of the KKR Global Institute and KKR Middle East. He served 37 years in the U.S. Army, with notable assignments including commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and commander of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan from July 2010 to July 2011.
