David O’Connor: podcast appearances and interviews

David Bourke O'Connor (5 February 1938 – 1 October 2022) was an Australian-American Egyptologist known for his work in the fields of Ancient Egypt and Nubia. He held the position of Lila Acheson Wallace Professor Emeritus at New York University's Institute of Fine Art. Additionally, he served as the Curator Emeritus of the Egyptian Museum at the University of Pennsylvania and was the director emeritus of the Abydos Archaeology expedition in Egypt. O'Connor is particularly recognized for his extensive work beginning in 1967 on the excavation of the ancient city of Abydos in Egypt. His career contributed significantly to the understanding of Egypt's ancient history and archaeological sites.
