David Byrne is the General Manager of Hotel Kilkenny. He has a diverse background as a musician, writer, visual artist, and filmmaker. Byrne was a founding member of the band Talking Heads, where he served as the principal songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist. The band was formed in 1975 in New York City and released eight studio albums, seven of which achieved gold or platinum certification before disbanding in 1991. Besides his work with Talking Heads, Byrne has pursued solo projects and collaborated across various media including film, photography, opera, fiction, and non-fiction. He has teamed up with a range of artists such as Brian Eno, Fatboy Slim, X-Press 2, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and St. Vincent. Throughout his career, Byrne has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, a Special Tony Award, and a Golden Globe Award. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Talking Heads.
