Jonathan Stuart Bailey, born on April 25, 1988, is a British actor known for his work across stage and screen covering dramatic, comedic, and musical roles. He began his career as a child actor with Royal Shakespeare Company productions and performed as Gavroche in a West End production of Les Misérables by the age of eight. Bailey has appeared in contemporary plays such as The York Realist and Cock, as well as classical productions including Othello and Richard II. His musical theater credits include the London revival of The Last Five Years and the gender-swapped West End revival of Company, for which he received the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical in 2019. On television, Bailey has starred in series like Leonardo, Groove High, Broadchurch, and Crashing. He gained broader recognition from his roles in the Regency romance series Bridgerton and the political miniseries Fellow Travelers, the latter earning him a Critics' Choice Television Award and a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
