Colin Anthony Cole, born June 24, 1980, is the vice president of product at More Equitable Democracy. He is a Canadian-American with a background as a professional football player. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Cole played college football at the University of Iowa. During his senior year in 2002, he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors. After going undrafted in the 2003 NFL draft, Cole signed with the Minnesota Vikings and later had stints on the active rosters of the Vikings and Detroit Lions, though he did not appear in any games with those teams. In 2004, he signed with the Green Bay Packers, where he spent four seasons. Following his time with the Packers, Cole became a free agent and in 2009 signed a five-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, serving as the primary starter at defensive tackle from 2009 to 2010. After two seasons away from the NFL, he signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2013 and was a key starter during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. His NFL career includes being part of two teams;the Seahawks and the Panthers;that achieved playoff victories despite having losing records, a noteworthy distinction in league history.
