Colbie Marie Caillat is an American singer-songwriter born on May 28, 1985. She gained recognition through the social networking platform Myspace in 2005, leading to a recording contract with Universal Republic Records. Her debut studio album, Coco, was released in 2007 and included the singles Bubbly and Realize; it reached number five on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. In 2008, her duet with Jason Mraz titled Lucky won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Her second album, Breakthrough, released in 2009, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and featured the single Fallin' for You; the album was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. Caillat contributed to Taylor Swift's album Fearless, which earned her the Album of the Year award. Her subsequent albums include All of You in 2011, supported by the single Brighter Than the Sun, Christmas in the Sand in 2012, a Christmas-themed record, and Gypsy Heart in 2014, featuring the single Try. Between 2018 and 2020, she was a member of the country music group Gone West. Throughout her career, Caillat has sold over six million albums worldwide and more than ten million singles.
