Chase Rice, born on September 19, 1985, is an American country music singer and songwriter associated with Next Home. He gained prominence in 2010 as a contestant on Survivor: Nicaragua, where he finished as the runner-up to Jud Fabio Birza. That same year, Rice began to focus on a career in country music. He is known for co-writing the diamond-certified single Cruise, performed by Florida Georgia Line. Rice has released six studio albums, with his third album Ignite the Night debuting at the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. His music has achieved significant chart success, including two number-one singles on the Country Airplay chart titled Eyes on You and Drinkin' Beer Talkin' God Amen, the latter featuring Florida Georgia Line. Before pursuing music, Rice was a college football linebacker for the North Carolina Tar Heels and also worked as a NASCAR pit crew member for Hendrick Motorsports.
