Chrissie Hynde: podcast appearances and interviews

Christine Ellen Hynde, born on September 7, 1951, is an American-British singer, songwriter, and musician. She is a founding member of the rock band the Pretenders and serves as the band's lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter. Hynde is the only original member of the Pretenders to have remained continuously with the band, having appeared on every studio album produced by the group. She formed the Pretenders in Hereford, England, in 1978 alongside Pete Farndon, James Honeyman-Scott, and Martin Chambers. Throughout her career, Hynde has collaborated with various artists, recording songs with musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Cher, and UB40. In 2014, she released her first solo album, Stockholm. Hynde's contributions to rock music were recognized in 2005 when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Pretenders.
