Christopher Whitelaw Pine, born on August 26, 1980, is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He gained prominence through roles in romantic comedies such as The Princess Diaries 2 and Just My Luck. Pine is perhaps best known for portraying James T. Kirk in the Star Trek reboot film series from 2009 to 2016 and for his role as Steve Trevor in the DC Extended Universe films Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984. His filmography also includes performances as Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Jack Ryan in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Bernie Webber in The Finest Hours, and Robert the Bruce in Outlaw King. Additionally, he starred in movies such as Unstoppable, Rise of the Guardians, Hell or High Water, The Contractor, Don’t Worry Darling, and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Pine made his directorial debut with the film Poolman in 2023.
