Joel Edgerton, born on June 23, 1974, is an Australian actor and filmmaker. He gained recognition for his role as Will McGill on the first two seasons of the Australian drama series The Secret Life of Us, which aired from 2001 to 2002. Edgerton is also known for his portrayal of Owen Lars in the Star Wars films Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, and he reprised this role in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. His voice work includes the character Metal Beak in the film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.
