Bruce Lorne Campbell, born on June 22, 1958, is an American actor and filmmaker known for his roles in horror and cult films as well as television series. He is best recognized for portraying Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead horror series, a role that has become iconic in popular culture. Campbell has also appeared in many low-budget cult movies, including Crimewave, Maniac Cop, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, and Bubba Ho-Tep.
