Brooke Christine Leslie Rollins is an American political advisor and attorney who has served as the United States secretary of agriculture since 2025. She has previously held several notable government positions, including acting director of the Domestic Policy Council from 2020 to 2021 and director of the Office of American Innovation from 2018 to 2020. Rollins's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in agricultural development from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin. Her early career involved roles in political campaigns, such as serving as deputy general counsel and policy director for Rick Perry's 2002 Texas gubernatorial reelection campaign. She was also president of the Texas Public Policy Foundation in 2003. In 2018, she was appointed co-director of the Office of American Innovation by President Donald Trump. Following the 2020 presidential election, Rollins co-founded the America First Policy Institute with Larry Kudlow and served as its president, assisting in preparations for a possible second presidential transition for Donald Trump. In November 2024, Trump nominated her for the role of secretary of agriculture, and she was confirmed by the Senate in February 2025.
